Mr Baggett

Mr Don BaggettMr Donald Baggett served in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as an Aircraft Technician - Airframes from 1970 to 1985, in the United Kingdom and Germany. During this time he worked on aircraft such as the Hawker Hunter, Canberra, Vulcan, Victor F4 Phantom and Hawk. Mr Baggett spent three and a half years, during the 1970s, as a volunteer with the RAF Mountain Rescue Service.

After leaving the RAF he worked on the building of the Optica spotter aircraft at Old Sarum airfield near Salisbury, Wiltshire. Following this he then worked for a private company servicing and repairing a variety of light aircraft. Mr Baggett joined Cobham Aviation Services in 1995, working on the Islander and Chipmunk fleet, as well as the Beaver and Auster of the Army Historic Aircraft Flight (AHAF). He is now Inspector-in-Command of the Historic Aircraft Flight, as the AHAF are now known, following the gifting of the aircraft in February 2015.
