Capt Owen Beynon Brown

Captain O G Beynon Brown (Owen) Centre Section Commander

Capt Owen Beynon Brown (29) grew up in Shropshire and attended Oswestry School prior to completing a BSc(Hons) in Agriculture at Harper Adams Agricultural College.

He was commissioned into the Royal Regiment Of Artillery in August 2007 and after finishing his Young Officers course in February 2008 was posted to 39th Regiment Royal Artillery in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Initially he was employed as a Detachment Commander working on a Counter IDF platform during Op TELIC 12 for 6 months before returning to the UK and training in his more conventional role as a Troop Commander.
He deployed as a GMLRS Troop Commander on Op HERRICK 11 for 6 months providing Artillery coverage over most of Helmand province.
Capt Beynon Brown was posted to the Kings Troop RHA in September 2010 and after finishing the Advanced Military Equitation Course in April 2011 took command of Centre Section. He is an avid horseman and prior to joining The King's Troop was a keen huntsman and also endurance riding, taking part in the 100 mile Golden Horseshoe ride.
In his spare time he enjoys bicycling and paramotoring, and working on vintage tractors as well as many country pursuits.
