Sports and Events

Sport is a vital part of the Royal Artillery's culture. We run teams and clubs playing a wide variety of sports, including cross country, orienteering, boxing and equestrian to name just a few.

Passion for sport

A passion for sport is a vital part of the Royal Artillery's culture. We run teams and clubs playing a wide variety of sports, the list is endless. Sport is an excellent way of developing your leadership and tactical skills - crucial elements in any winning team. What's more, the spirit that bonds you and your team mates is as important on the field of play as it is on the field of battle. Current national sportsmen include Andrew Clarke, team captain of the British Telemark Ski Team and Charlie Unwin who has represented Britain in Modern Pentathlon, but is now working with numerous Olympic athletes and teams in preparation for the Olympics this year.

There are many more sports available in the Royal Artillery, such as cycling, cross country, to name but a few.
