Associations

The Objects of the Association are:

To promote the efficiency of the Army by -

  • maintaining contact between past and present members of the Royal Army Medical Corps, fostering mutual friendship between them and providing for social gatherings for them; and
  • fostering esprit de corps, comradeship and the welfare of the Corps and preserving its traditions.
  • To relieve, either generally or individually, members of the Association or past and present members of the Corps, and their dependants, who are in conditions of need, hardship or distress.

Organisation

The Association consists of a Headquarters based in Aldershot and local Branches wherever these are established.

Management

The affairs of the Association are managed by a Central Committee. Branch committees are responsible for the management of their Branch affairs, administration, social and welfare activities.

Membership

The Association has two forms of membership, Life and Associate.

Life Membership. All serving and past members of the Royal Army Medical Corps are entitled to Life Membership.

Associate Membership. Any person including wives/husbands and widows/widowers of serving or retired personnel of the Army Medical Services or other Regiments or Corps who have had close links with the RAMC and wishes to maintain these links may apply for Associate Membership.
