Registered Nurse - Adult Health
If you are about qualify or are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (RN(A) Level 1) And are under the age of 32 years and 11 months, you are eligible to apply to become a Registered Nurse Soldier in the QARANC.
You will work in a variety of environments; Ministry of Defence Hospital Units, Medical Regiments, instructor posts (both military and academic courses), recruiting, management and staff (administrative). Currently Army Nurses are based and deployed in, UK, Germany, Cyprus, Canada, Poland, Brunei, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Afghanistan.
Registered Nurse - Mental Health
If you are about qualify or are registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (RN(MH) Level 1) And are under the age of 32 years and 11 months, you are eligible to apply to become a Registered Nurse Soldier in the QARANC.
You will work in a variety of environments; Departments of Community Mental Health, Ministry of Defence Hospital Units, Medical Regiments, instructor posts (both military and academic courses), recruiting, management and staff (administrative). Currently Army Nurses are based and deployed in, UK, Germany, Cyprus, Canada, Poland, Brunei, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Afghanistan.
Student Nurse - Adult and Mental Health
If you meet the academic entry requirements and are aged between 17 years and 6 months and 32 years and 11 months (on commencement of Phase 1 basic military training) your are eligible to apply for student nurse training with the QARANC.
As a student you will train at Birmingham City University on a Degree in nursing course. Your educational programme takes place in a variety of clinical settings, preparing you for all aspects of military nursing care.
Healthcare Assistant
There are no education requirements to be a HCA in the Army but you must be between 17 years and 6 months and 32 years and 11 months (on commencement of Phase 1 basic military training) Healthcare Assistants work alongside the Registered Nurses and you can work in a variety of environments; Ministry of Defence Hospital Units, Medical Regiments, instructor posts (both military and academic courses), recruiting, management and staff (administrative). Currently Army Nurses are based and deployed in, UK, Germany, Cyprus, Canada, Poland, Brunei, Kenya, Sierra Leone, and Afghanistan.
