203 Field Hospital (Volunteers)
203 (Welsh) Field Hospital (Volunteers) is part of the Territorial Army Medical Services (AMS TA) and is the major TA Medical unit in Wales. In peacetime, training takes place to fulfil the war role of providing a 200 bed surgical hospital in support of the Regular Army.
Field Hospitals are designed to deploy into the field either under canvas or in disused buildings. They are fully staffed and equipped to provide the highest standards of care and treatment for soldiers injured whilst on military operations.
203 (Welsh) Field Hospital (Volunteers) has four surgical teams (2 general and 2 orthopaedic). We also have x-ray, pathology, physiotherapy and pharmacy departments to create an integrated medical facility. The whole hospital can be packed, moved and then set up again if the situation demands.
We are currently recruiting Doctors, Nurses and Professionals Allied to Medicine. There are also opportunities available for Chefs, Clerks, Mechanics and various other trades.
