The Royal Wessex Yeomanry is always looking out for quality men and women between the ages of 18 and 43 to join its ranks. We take the best of Dorset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire and Devon and train them to operate some of the most advanced weapons in the British Army.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be the driver of 70 tonnes of tank?

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to fire a tank's weapon system?

Are you looking to learn new skills and make life long friends?

Are you happy with your day job but looking to put something extra into your life that is exciting and challenging?

If the answer is yes and you would like more information, then contact us to arrange an informal interview. We have opportunities available for tank commanders, operators, gunners and drivers.

Enjoy the challenge of training to become a member of the Armed Forces in your spare time. We will pay you the same daily rate as that being received by a soldier in the Regular Army, offer you the same challenges and equip you with the skills to keep you motivated and fit.

What other trades are on offer?

To support the Regiment we also require vehicle mechanics, armourers, chefs, storemen and women, signallers, medics and military clerical staff. If this is where your interest lies then contact us as we can help.

All of our specialists are soldiers first but also specialise in their chosen fields of expertise and what's more we provide the training.
