The City of Edinburgh Universities Officers Training Corps (CEUOTC) aims to develop the leadership potential of selected university students through enjoyable and challenging training.

In providing such an experience, we hope to communicate the values, ethos and career opportunities of the British Army.

CEUOTC provides its members with the opportunity to develop as an individual, whether that is improving your fitness, refining your teamwork skills, or learning how to read a map. We also focus on the development of leadership skills and man-management techniques, improving individuals' confidence, problem-solving ability and time management.

By the end of your training you will have gained valuable experience which will look great on any CV, giving you a considerable advantage over fellow students in a competitive job market. All members of CEUOTC have the opportunity to gain a Level 5 award in Management and Leadership through the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) - a definite boost to your CV!

On top of this you get paid nearly £40 a day, plus travel expenses, whilst you train with us! We train on Wednesday evenings and selected weekends over the academic year, starting in September.

We are not a recruitment agency. Membership is voluntary and there is no obligation to join either the Regular or Territorial Army (TA) on graduation. However, we do provide assistance and encouragement for those who wish to become an officer in the Regular Forces or the TA.

If you are studying at Edinburgh, Heriot-Watt, Napier or Queen Margret University look out for us at your Fresher's Fair.
