Aberdeen UOTC
Aberdeen Universities Officers' Training Corps (AUOTC) is an organisation which provides military leadership training to students from both The Robert Gordon University and The University of Aberdeen.
Through taking part in military exercises, adventure training, sports, community work and some amazing social events, AUOTC provides university students with a unique opportunity to challenge themselves and to develop practical leadership and management skills which are highly sought after by employers.

So what are the commitments?
AUOTC is part of the British Army but Officer Cadets have no obligation to join the Armed Forces when they leave and can resign from the AUOTC whenever they wish. Typically, the AUOTC trains on Tuesday evenings and 2-3 weekends a month. Officer Cadets are also encouraged to train for one of our sport teams on Wednesdays.
You get paid
One of the best things about AUOTC is that you get paid while having fun. Officer Cadets start out at £38.50 per day rising to £45.92 post MLDP 2. There is also the opportunity to earn an annual bounty if you complete all the necessary criteria throughout the year.
