Commanding Officer's Welcome

Think you can keep up - we also accept men The new Yorkshire Officers' Training Regiment (YOTR)

Welcome from the Commanding Officer

Here we give students, who are reading a wide range of different subjects at universities and colleges across the region, a taste of army life.

We develop character, leadership skills and student's natural abilities whilst they are studying for their degree. We offer adventure training, foreign travel and social events as well as payment once the training is completed.

All the students who have joined us want to develop and expand their leadership potential, whilst being challenged and pushed to their limits both physically and mentally. At the same time they have made life-long friendships and have had a huge amount of fun.

You will join us at an exciting time as the Yorkshire OTR has been formed by the merger of Leeds and Sheffield UOTCs to create one larger, more efficient unit. We will train together, when possible, giving students the chance to socialise and work with a variety of people from across universities and colleges in the region.

I hope you, after exploring this website, and hearing from some of the students already benefiting from this life-changing scheme, will want to join us.
