Upon joining the UOTC, your first year is spent undertaking basic military training, successful completion of this year enables you to progress on to more advanced training and then into roles of responsibility in your third year.
UOTC training takes place on a Wednesday evening and then on delegated weekends.
Throughout the training year there are many opportunities open to OCdts, which are only available to military personnel, such as being through the Commando Assault Course, Specialist survival training, Specialist Weapon Handling and much much more.
