Recruitment

Our recruitment takes place at the beginning of each Academic Year in September. 

Current students will attend a number of Freshers Fairs, although you may also apply directly to us by telephone or by email.  Officer Cadets from SUOTC will be attending the following Freshers Fairs:  

• Southampton Solent - Wed 23 Sep
• Winchester - Sat 26 Sep  
• Portsmouth - Wed 30 Sep & Thu 1 Oct
• Brighton - Wed 30 Sep
• Southampton - Wed 30 Sep
• Bournemouth - Sat 3 Oct  

Open Evening

We will hold an Open Evening on Tue 6 Oct; transport will be provided. More details from our stands at the Freshers Fairs.

The Selection Process

The Selection Weekend will be held over the period 9-11 Oct.  Attendance is mandatory in order to join

The selection process runs over a weekend, where you will take part in various activities designed to prove your leadership potential as well as your ability to work as part of a team.  

You will be interviewed and undertake a medical. You will also need to complete a 1.5 mile run in less than 14 minutes to show a base level of fitness.
