City of Edinburgh UOTC Recruiting 2010

The City of Edinburgh UOTC welcomes new Officer Cadets that are eligible to join once a year during Freshers' Week.

Look out for our recruiting stand at the following Freshers' Fairs, where you can meet current members and ask initial questions.

Heriot-Watt University: 8 September
Napier University - 9 September
University of Edinburgh - 15/16 September

We will not be present at Queen Margaret University, Scottish Agricultural College or Edinburgh College of Art although there will be flyers handed out with information about our open nights. Those studying at one of the above should seek us out at one of the other fairs.

 
Open Nights

Join us for information presentations and a drink at one of our open evenings. They are held at Duke of Edinburgh House in Colinton.

This is a chance for all those who are interested in joining to meet some of the current Officer Cadets and bombard them with questions.

Transport is provided; information on timings and pick-up points will be given out at the fairs and will be posted on this site nearer the time.

The two open nights are on 15 and 22 September.

 
Selection Weekends

During these, you will be interviewed and take part in discussion groups and team building tasks, in order to assess your suitability for joining the OTC. You will also fill out the necessary documentation.

 
Medicals and Fitness Assessment

Selected candidates will be invited back to assess whether they meet the medical and fitness criteria for joining. These assessments will be carried out on the 2/3 October 2010.
 
 

Joining CEUOTC involves some work and commitment on your part, but we will guide you through the process.
