Sport

As you can imagine sport is very important at Liverpool UOTC. Sport is used to develop leadership and teamwork, as well as maintain physical fitness and we expect the third (and second) year students to play an active role in organising and leading the teams.

We have several different sports teams (male, female and mixed) but the main ones are football (TA national champions), rugby union, hockey and running.

But if you have an interest in a sport not already played, then set up your own team, we'll give it a go! There are regular training sessions and we play a mixture of university faculty teams and other local military teams.

The culmination of the year's sport occurs at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst where we compete for the Queens Cup each year.

Here, all 19 UOTCs are invited to enter teams in several different sports competitions including hockey, rugby, football, and cross country.

Not only is it a great chance to meet (and beat), other UOTCs, but it's also good fun.
